- Play with the technologies. Iterate past the initial mediocre result and see how different prompts improve the outcomes. My three favorites are Perplexity, Claude, and GPT4o. At this point, I’ve decided that my limited exploration time is better used to push deeper into these, rather than comparing alternative providers.
I see great possibility in using these technologies as a thought partner to sharpen my own ideas and get me past blocks and obstacles. And I see great risk in using them as a substitute for thought. What makes writing hard is also what makes it useful, so asking GPT to write on my behalf is not something I’m likely to do any time soon.
